STG Communications is a growing Communications Contractor that is searching for Experienced Civil Technicians. The ideal candidate will be safety focused, along with being a self-motivated individual with strong work ethics. The individual will be expected to assist the Telecom Civil Technician in all aspects of planning, prepping and executing projects for building new sites. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Civil Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, connect and maintain equipment ranging from router, switches, patch panels panels.
• Troubleshooting and testing equipment to ensure proper installation and power levels.
• Cable management varying from fiber optics, coax, ethernet, ect.
• Moderate flat-work concrete forming, pouring and finishing
• Carpentry and miscellaneous trade skills
• Landscaping, grading and fencing, as necessary
• Load/unload trucks, haul and hoist materials
• Operate various hand and power tools
• Light equipment (mini excavator, skid loader)

Job Requirmentss:

• Background and MVR check
• Pass drug test and pre-employment physical
• Required certifications and training
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Work in all weather elements
• Travel 50% of the time
• Work in all weather elements
• Ability to work weekends as needed
• Ability to read blueprints, details and specification
• Telecom or Construction experience, preferred but will provide on the job training as needed
• Cald-weld or other thermos-weld training a plus
• AC/DC power and back up battery system experience a plus

Physical Demands:

• Stand for long period of time
• Ability to lift 100 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders
