Job Summary

The Private Client Group Regional Director is responsible for recruiting qualified entrepreneurial financial advisors who work in the independent channel. This includes developing a marketing strategy to attract financial advisors, and all aspects of the due diligence process as per the firms policy and guidelines. Build relationships with the business owners located within the assigned region. Be the first line of defense to handle situations that arise for the business owner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with the President & CEO and Business Development Director to develop a marketing strategy to attract independent advisors to SIA.
• Communicate and collect information from the financial advisor recruits as it relates to the required due diligence process.
• Assist in home office due diligence meetings for financial advisor recruits.
• Work with Stifel Compliance, Legal and other departments as necessary to assist the business owners in their practice.
• Assigned a territory as deemed by the President and CEO & Business Development Director.
• Provide verbal and written offer and other required contract documents to business owner.
• Expected to travel 50 to 75% of the time.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of principles and procedures for financial advisor talent.
• Advanced knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and analytics.
• Proven ability to demonstrate professionalism, integrity, maturity, intellectual curiosity, initiative, and good judgment; takes pride of ownership for wins and accountability for losses/mistakes.
• Ability to teach/mentor other team members.
• Strong ability to manage one's own time, projects, and deadlines to ensure the timely completion of all work.
• Advanced logic and reasoning skills to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

Education & Experience

• Minimum Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum Required: 5 years’ related experience in financial advisor recruiting

Licenses & Credentials

• Series 7
• Series 66 (or equivalent)

Systems & Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
