STIIIZY is Hiring a Junior Accountant Near Los Angeles, CA

The Junior Accountant will primarily be responsible for the payables system, including general ledger coding, inputting invoices into the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, bank reconciliations & other internal processes. (Must be proficient in Excel).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process invoices and payments for multiple companies.
  • Monitor multiple expenses accounts.
  • Match bank/financial transactions for multiple accounts.
  • Work with and support other staff members within the department.
  • Ensure accurate and appropriate accounting record entries; resolve accounting disputes.
  • Compile financial data such as general ledger accounts and document transactions.
  • Assist in monthly reporting procedures.
  • Report daily accounting updates amongst the team.
  • Interact with staff members throughout the organization and vendors who need assistance regarding payment procedures, budget codes, invoices, and payment.
  • Performs work under direct supervision.
  • Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Diligent, Punctual and Ready to work!
  • Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by supervisor.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Accounting Knowledge: Understanding principles like double-entry bookkeeping and financial statements.
  • Proficiency in Financial Software: Ability to use tools like QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage for data entry and reporting.
  • Excel Skills: Proficiency in dynamic array functions, power query, and data modeling
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in data entry, reconciliations, and identifying discrepancies.
  • Communication and Time Management: Effective communication, prioritization, and meeting deadlines are crucial for teamwork and efficiency.
  • Reliability, Accountability & Communication within a team environment.
  • Self-Driven - Ability to complete tasks regardless of available guidance.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred
  • A combination of relevant work experience and educational qualifications will be considered.
  • CPA candidacy a plus but not required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
