Job Title: Shop Assistant

Company Overview: Stillwater Collision & Mechanical is a locally owned and independently operated shop offering automotive body, collision, and mechanical repair services. We’ve been servicing the Stillwater and surrounding areas for over 20 years and pride ourselves on supporting community while providing expert workmanship, and customer service.

Position Overview: The Shop Assistantwill help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the shop. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of shop support tasks. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results. This position reports to the Office Manager and is full time.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Answer phones
• Create, close, and reconcile repair orders
• Assist with accounts receivable invoicing for services along with processing and collection of payments
• Assist with scheduling repair services
• Assist in ordering parts
• Complete accurate data entry and a variety of routine as well as non-routine financial operation activities with in established timelines
• Monitor paper flow to ensure all documents are accounted for, filled out completely and legibly, and filed or distributed to the appropriate parties
• Maintains a professional appearance and keeps a clean, presentable work area for customers
• Builds relationships and maintain customer and vendor accounts
• Detail cars for delivery
• Assists with parts management
• Maintains shop and grounds upkeep.
• Assists with clerical and other miscellaneous office/shop duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associates degree with concentration in business management or accounting is preferred
• Knowledge of industry and 1-2 years related experience is preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google, Internet Explorer and Quickbooks
• Ability to interact with all levels of personnel in the shop
• Flexibility to handle multiple projects at once
• Accounts Payable and Receivable experience
• Well organized, self-disciplined and self-motivated
• Able to learn and adapt quickly in new and evolving environments
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 42 per week
