WE ARE LOOKING FOR AT LEAST 6 MONTHS OF IN HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE
To assist the doctors in treating sick or hurt animals brought into our hospital.
To administer medications and perform treatments and vaccinations under the guidance of our doctors.
To assist and monitor patients in surgery.
Need to be able to perform procedures in many different areas including but not limited to dentistry, lab work, radiology, surgery, pharmacy, and hospitalization.
You will need to know about setup, cleanup, and maintenance in all areas.
You will need to know how to perform and record patients treatments throughout the day.
Understand how to prep, monitor during, and wake-up a pet for surgery.
Know how to place an IV catheter, give subcutaneous fluids, draw blood, and use a microscope.
You will be asked to assist with euthanasia and to prepare the pet for cremation. You will be filling prescriptions, downloading lab work, assisting in exam rooms, using an Autoclave, cleaning and stocking.
You need to be willing to stay during off hours if needed to assist doctors on unexpected/emergency type appointments.
You will be working on holidays and weekends, even when the hospital is not open to the public.
Treat all clients and co-workers with respect. Listen to clients needs and respond accordingly.
Assist doctors, fellow employees, and clients in any way needed.
Follow all safety rules and attend Quarterly meetings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
