Financial Controller | PE-backed | Fast-paced Consumer Scale-up

Salary: Up to £90K Fixed Salary Bonus

Based: Munich, Germany

Hybrid, 4 days in office

STOIX has been retained by a truly exciting, fast-paced, highly ambitious, PE-backed leisure business to identify their new Financial Controller based in Munich, Germany. Directly reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will help implement and maintain optimised business controls, financial reporting, compliance and audit processes, and be a strong partner to the FD, playing a crucial part of the business's long-term success.

The Role:

• Implement and maintain, scalable strong financial controls and processes
• Support FD with annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Oversee cash management and cash flow to ensure growth initiatives can be met.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, coordinate and lead annual audits
• Implement and enhance financial systems to streamline processes and improve data accuracy
• Manage, mentor and develop a small team of finance professionals
• Foster a culture of high performance, accountability and continuous improvement
• Communicate financial performance and trends, insights and recommendations to the executive team, board of directors, and investors.
• Communicate financial performance and trends to the executive team and board of directors
• Support with acquisition integration

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) or significant experience in similar role
• Fluent German and English language skills are essential
• Experience gained in a Big 4 or Leading Accounting / Audit firm is desirable
• Minimum of 5 years experience in financial management, preferably within the multi-site leisure or hospitality industry
• Hands-on, with the ability to work in a small, entrepreneurial, fast-paced, ambiguous and high-growth business
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and tax regulations.
• Proficient in financial software and ERP systems; experience working with ERP systems is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial modelling.
