Our client is seeking an Assistant Controller to act as a key member of the Finance team, responsible for supervising the accounting team in performing the work required to maintain the general ledger across three legal entities. Working under the direction of the Controller, the Assistant Controller is responsible for the timely and accurate recording of transactions into the organizations financial system. The Assistant Controller is responsible for day-to-day financial tasks, which include maintaining the integrity of the general ledger data, reviewing processing of payments, bank reconciliations, recording of journal entries, cash receipts, and providing general accounting support. The incumbent is also responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as coordinating the organizations annual audit. The incumbent should be a highly motivated self-starter who understands the nuances of not-for-profit accounting.
Reporting to the Controller, this is an exempt, full-time, hybrid (2 days in the office) position located in their NYC headquarters office.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $118,136-135,000 annually.
The salary range for the position is posted. Factors such as candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations affect the salary offered within this range.
