Senior Director of Enablement and Data Governance
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

STONE Resource Group is representing a leading financial services company seeking a Senior Director of Enablement and Data Governance. This is a high-level, hands-on individual contributor role responsible for overseeing data governance, compliance, and privacy operations for sensitive data. You will work collaboratively with global teams to enhance data management policies and processes, focusing on automation, controls, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data governance frameworks and policies focused on data privacy, usage, and retention.
- Set up governance structures and oversee compliance operations, especially for sensitive data, across global teams.
- Manage data movement monitoring and ensure alignment with privacy and security requirements.
- Define and document policies, standards, and procedures to ensure proper data collection, storage, and usage.
- Collaborate with privacy, compliance, IT, product, and analytics teams to improve policies and drive automation.
- Serve as the point of contact for global stakeholders to share best practices and improve governance processes.
- Design and lead enterprise training programs on data risk, governance, and compliance.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience in risk management, data governance, privacy, and information security.
- Strong experience with data protection controls, monitoring sensitive data across cloud and on-premise systems.
- Hands-on experience with governance and compliance tools (Privacera, BigID, Varonis, ForcePoint, etc.)
- Proven ability to implement data management controls and communicate policies across large organizations.
- Experience managing compliance with U.S. data privacy laws (FCRA, GLBA, CCPA/CPRA) and familiarity with global regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CISM, or CISSP.
- Experience using advanced privacy methods like synthetic data or differential privacy.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to influence global teams and drive collaborative decision-making.
