We are a female-founded fine jewelry company based in New York City, and offer thoughtfully designed jewelry made from solid gold and silver, diamonds and natural gemstones. About The Role

We are looking for an outstanding Full time Jewelry Design & Product Development Manager to oversee the day-to-day design and product development workflow, enabling us to design products that our customers love, at price points that she can afford. 

We are looking for someone who has experience in product development and jewelry design, is able to fluently use tools to render designs and review CAD files, and feels comfortable working independently. This role has potential for growth and as a fast-growing company we seek to promote from within.

The ideal candidate is highly organized and innovative, detail and action oriented, accountable, collaborative and possesses a positive attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Working with our founder and jewelry designer to conceptualize, design and finalize all jewelry collections from start to finish
• Prototyping, rendering and pricing out product designs to ensure the best designs at target price points
• Creating CAD files, and / or liaising with our vendors to create the appropriate files
• Liaising with multiple vendors regarding design proposals and pricing
• Negotiating MOQs, lead time and costs
• Carrying out timely follow-ups with vendors to ensure that samples are received on time
• Staying current with market research and sales data to ensure our products are viable and competitive
• Preparing status updates on designs and samples for weekly design and pricing meetings with internal stakeholders before moving to the next stage.
• Creating SKU and product information in our inventory management system and ensuring that all information is kept up to date on an ongoing basis
• Creating purchase orders and inventory adjustments on internal inventory management systems
• Participating in monthly stock counts of our inventory
• Reviewing existing product designs where there are quality issues and identifying improvements to existing designs

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• 3 Years of experience in production or product development related area required
• Experience in jewelry industry and GIA certification preferred
• Familiarity with production software preferred e.g.,Procreate, Rhino, Photoshop, etc.,
• Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering background preferred)
• USA work authorization required

Compensation & Details

• $24/hour - $31/hour, depending on experience
• In-person at our Diamond District office location
