Stoney Creek Hotels is Hiring a Conference Center Manager Near Moline, IL

ACCOUNTABILITY
The Conference Center Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Conference Center. This role focuses on ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining the appearance of the property, and providing support to the Conference Center team. The position requires effective decision-making, quick problem-solving, and a leadership style that motivates and engages the team.
REPORTS TO AND IS SERVED BY: Conference Center Supervisor/Manager, Assistant General Manager, or General Manager

What To ExpectStrategic Management: Directs conference center operations by developing and implementing strategies and services.
Evaluate trends and modify strategies to exceed owner, employee, and guest expectations within budget.
Financial Oversight: Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to achieve conference center-related goals. Manages customer billings and processes catering invoices for corporate payment.
Guest Interaction: Greets guests and staff warmly, providing assistance as needed. Coordinates with staff and management to resolve issues.
Facility Inspection: Inspects conference rooms, back of the house, and surrounding public areas to ensure cleanliness and upkeep.
Kitchen and Catering Management: Ensures knowledge of the operation and cleanliness of all kitchen equipment and appliances. Reads and interprets Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) for proper event set-up. Maintains relationships with outside caterers, including evaluations, menu updates, contracts, and insurance updates.
Staff Direction: Directs staff, assigns duties, and ensures daily objectives and guest needs are met. Assists caterers to ensure timely and tasteful food and beverage setups.
Audio/Visual Expertise:Possesses knowledge of the operation of all audio/visual equipment owned by the hotel.
Security and Inventory Management: Maintains the security of conference rooms to protect hotel and guest assets.
Performs inventory counts and places orders as needed for linens, china, glass, and silverware.
Reporting and Administration: Assists with end-of-month reporting as required by the Corporate Office.
Foundational Skills and Qualities: Strong organizational skills to manage tasks and prioritize work. Good physical stamina and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Work Expectations and Responsibilities: Willingness to adapt to a variety of tasks, including "Other duties as assigned." Participate in department meetings and maintain an open line of communication with colleagues. Obtain any required certifications necessary, as relevant to the specific job.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive motions.
