Stony Brook University is Hiring a Research Technician Near Stony Brook, NY

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Research Technician to join our team. As a Research Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our scientific research efforts in the field of genetics. Your responsibilities will include conducting experiments, performing tissue culture and cell culture techniques, PCR cloning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research projects and gain valuable experience in a dynamic laboratory environment.

Duties:

- Conduct scientific research experiments under the guidance of senior researchers

- Perform tissue culture and cell culture techniques with precision and accuracy

- Utilize PCR , cloning, protein purification

- Assist in transfection experiments and maintain cell lines for research purposes

Experience:

Required Skills:

- Strong background in scientific research methodologies

- Proficiency in genetics concepts and techniques

- Experience with tissue culture, cell culture, PCR, cloning

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Experience with transfection techniques

- Familiarity with cell line maintenance

- Knowledge of PCR, cloning, protein purification
