Basic function of the job:
Learning to set up and operate all equipment throughout the production facility. Includes digital press, perforators, encoder, various bindery, and mailing equipment. Maintains safety practices and procedures.
Working closely with the Print Production Supervisor to learn the management, workflow, and scheduling side of the production operation; learning equipment, product standards, and specifications to understand how to do estimates to the quality and accuracy deemed necessary. Know the correct methods and workflow to produce products correctly and write up the production job tickets.
Pulling repeat jobs. Help to create a working copy for production personnel.
Educational level, work experience, and any other skill required to perform the duties of this job:
High School Diploma. 2-4 Years of Secondary Education preferred. 1-2 Years of Print Experience preferred. Must possess good organizational and time management skills, perform a variety of duties, and be proficient in general math skills. Sit, stand, walk for 80% of the day.
