We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual for a Permanent Controller role within Real Estate Management and Construction. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to make a significant impact within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities within the division. This includes the development and management of budgets, preparation of financial statements, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:

• Overseeing all financial and accounting operations within the Real Estate Management and Construction division.
• Developing and managing budgets in collaboration with division heads and upper management.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations regarding financial practices and reporting.
• Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• Directing and managing the company’s financial plans and policies and its accounting practices
• Conducting financial analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost reduction analysis, and reviewing operational performance.
• Overseeing the coordination and activities of independent auditors ensuring all audit issues are resolved, and all compliance issues are met, and the preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with U.S. GAAP and federal, state and other required supplementary schedules and information.
• Using QuickBooks to manage and track all financial data.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably within the real estate management and construction industry.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and other financial management software.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• High level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
