Storm Creek is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near Paul, MN

Position Overview: The Human Resources Manager role will provide HR leadership and day-to-day support for Storm Creek to help drive business results through people-centric initiatives. These initiatives align with the entire employee life-cycle, including acquisition, onboarding, retention, development, and offboarding. You will be an integral part of our Management team as we continue to shape the future of Storm Creek and build the best-in-class candidate and employee experience.
Responsibilities
  • Drive key HR initiatives across the business, including recruiting, performance management, engagement, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness and employee communication.
  • Ensures biweekly payroll processing.
  • Oversee hiring practices from job posting through the pre-employment process.
  • Manage the termination process from exit interviews to offboarding paperwork.
  • Manage relationship with insurance brokers for employee benefits, workers compensation, and company's insurance policies.
  • Manage employee leaves and related requests (i.e. handling FMLA paperwork, disability claims, workers compensation claims, etc).
  • Coach and counsel managers with employee performance issues.
  • Serve as a resource to employees to talk to with any concerns or questions and interpret company policies.
  • Maintain employee personnel, medical, and DOT files including compliance.
  • Manage our rewards program to include overseeing the employee perk programs.
  • Represent company in personnel-related hearings and investigations, should they arise.
  • Help develop and implement HR practices and procedures aligned to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Work with managers to build a career path for employees, identifying opportunities for training, new skill acquisition, and advancement.
  • Oversee benefits administration and own new hire benefit enrollment and open enrollment.
  • Partnering with hiring manager to create an exceptional onboarding program for new employees.
  • Ensure compliance with employment practices and applicable employment laws and regulations and complete and file applicable annual state and federal reports (i.e. EEO-1, OSHA, Affirmative Action Plans, Benefit 5500, etc).
  • Function as integral part of the management team to provide strategic direction for HR.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible HR generalist/manager experience
  • Excellent leadership, critical thinking, problem solving, project management and organizational skills
  • Strong customer-support orientation and employee relations skill set
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to execute both strategic and tactical priorities
  • Demonstrated coaching/mentoring/leadership skills; change agent
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong influencing and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable State and Federal employment laws and general business practices
  • Solid business acumen
  • Experience using HR information systems and tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field of study
  • Experience with EOS is a plus
