Electrical Technician Job Description:

  • Oversee, inspect, repair, install, and wire all electrical apparatus, devices, and circuits of any voltage in the plant or assigned area as an Electrical Tech and Maintenance Technician.
  • Receive instructions from the Maintenance Foreman for scheduled and emergency repair, installations, and inspection work.
  • Perform tasks requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical principles, wiring, specifications, codes, material properties, and equipment operation.
  • Analyze drawings and wiring diagrams to locate, install, and repair electrical apparatus, devices, and circuits.
  • Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, and adjust assemblies and lubricate electrical equipment, taking all safety precautions.
  • Isolate circuits, dismantle, inspect, repair, adjust, or replace faulty parts and wiring on power feeds and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace all AC and DC motor drives, programmable logic controllers, sensors, and analog devices, assisting plant Electrical Engineers.
  • Use a laptop PC to log in and communicate with processors in PLC racks, monitor variables, upload software, and force logic as necessary for troubleshooting as an Electrical Tech and Maintenance Technician.

Electrical Technician Requirements:

  • High school diploma, vocational school certificate, or GED.
  • 3-4 years of experience or Electrical Journeyman card is Preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Pay: $27.05 - $29.26 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
