Storm Search is seeking a Finance Manager in the Medina, OH area for one of the world’s largest brake suppliers to the Aerospace, Medical, and Industrial markets. Job Description

The Finance Manager will report to the U.S. Controller and support operations on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities include:

• Enforce location compliance with all U.S. GAAP & Company policies and procedures.
• Oversee, manage, and provide guidance to 1-2 direct reports, including a Cost Accountant.
• Oversee month end close process for location, ensuring all journal entries and account reconciliations are completed timely, and accurately.
• Act as finance liaison for profitability/cost/pricing projects and analysis, growth project analysis, CapEx analysis, and any other ad-hoc projects.
• Support process improvement efforts to improve efficiency and effectiveness of department and location as a whole.
• Be the “gatekeeper” for financial data at the location
• Review financial systems and processes, and where necessary, drive changes and training of key individuals.
• Assist in annual budget process, and own monthly forecast process.
• Oversee annual Standard Cost roll process, and any variances or deviations that occur throughout the year.
• Own annual Physical Inventory process.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 6 years’ experience in Accounting & Financial roles within the Manufacturing Industry.
• Cost & Inventory Accounting experience.
• Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree or certifications is a plus.
• QAD ERP (or similar ERP systems), Oracle Hyperion Financial Manager (HFM), Access, and SQL experience is a plus.
• Alteryx, Power BI, and CyberQuery experience is a MAJOR plus.
