Job Description:We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Euclid, Ohio. As a Manufacturing Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for performing engineering assignments, adhering to technical requirements, and developing and maintaining process plans for the manufacturing of Control Rod Drive Mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain step-by-step process plans for manufacturing Control Rod Drive Mechanisms, adhering to contract technical requirements.
- Monitor manufacturing processes, implement improvements to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, and meet delivery and cost requirements.
- Generate SAP routings based on process plans and develop CAD drawings detailing process plans, fixturing, tooling, and setup instructions.
- Design, develop, test/source, and cost-justify tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
- Collaborate with internal departments, customers, and vendors to resolve issues encountered during the manufacturing process.
- Propose, support, and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, delivery, or cost.
- Provide technical support for R&D projects to ensure prototypical hardware meets guidelines.
- Assist in the technical training of new hires.
- May require minor business travel.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
- Entry level to Senior candidates will be considered, salary commensurate with experience. Professional Engineer certification is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple disciplines in support of manufacturing production hardware.
- Positive attitude and energy.
- Manufacturing/machining background preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, TopSolid, Siemens NX, Vericut, and Crash Guard Studio preferred.
- NC programming capability preferred.
