Core Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient code that meets business requirements while adhering to compliance and security standards.
• Build reusable modules and libraries to improve code reusability and maintainability.
• Hands-on development of enterprise applications 80% of the time.
• Responsible for the stability and scalability of the content platform. This encompasses core business services and platform-agnostic (mobile and web) APIs.
• Develop solutions following established technical design, application development standards, and quality processes.
• Increase teams' technical ability and drive measurable code quality improvement.
• Improve the accuracy of development schedules and lower project risk.
• Collaborate with team members on design and code reviews.
• Mentor Junior Individual Contributors

Required:

• 6 years of Java experience
• 4 years' experience in a back-end software engineering role developing enterprise applications.
• 4 years creating APIs as products with web services and RESTful protocols.
• 3 years' experience developing a microservices architecture.
• 3 years' experience creating could-based solutions with AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud.
• Expert proficiency in Java is required. Minimum Java 11 required.
• Expert proficiency in Spring Framework, including Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Data
• Solid experience in using design patterns to implement solutions for common business problems.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, along with ORM frameworks.
• Experience with Kafka or other streaming technologies is highly desired.

Nice to have:

• Bachelors in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field/work experience
• Experience with event-driven architectures is highly desirable.
• Cloud-based security principles and protocols include OAuth2, JWT, encryption, hashing data, secret management, etc.
• Experience with containerization/orchestration technologies, such as Docker, Elastic Container Service (ECS), Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience deploying and integrating with AWS Cloud-based solutions.
