Storylink Creative is Hiring an Account Manager Near Minneapolis, MN

Storylink is a brand engagement and agency located in the Twin Cities. We design and build custom brand engagement exhibits, digital assets and activations. As an Account Manager on the Client Services Team(CST), you will partner with our cross-functional groups to deliver on-time, on-budget, quality projects. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, and have exceptional project management skills. S/he has strong communication skills, is comfortable working with teammates across levels and disciplines, and is passionate about cultivating his/her skills in project management and strategic client account management.

This role will manage high-level, key client accounts (Pillar Accounts). This involves understanding a signed Statement of Work (SOW) and driving requirements through project execution, but also leading client through the Prove Process journey. This is a fulfilling role for those that want flexibility, creativity and empowerment to build out the future of our culture. The ideal candidate is someone who is hands-on and can drive productivity, communication and customer requirements.

This position facilitates converting a client’s vision of brand for a product or service into a branded environmental design or experiential marketing event. You would bringing our unique services and design methodology to a client for their vision for their product. Our process begins with a thorough understanding of the client’s needs, goals and vision. Defining “what success looks like” as it is different for every business. We have a track-record of delivering not only great designs, but financially successful projects.

The focus is on a “total” brand package to enable our clients to create, maintain and expand their image and brand presence. Through brainstorming and collaboration with our Clients, you go through an advanced discovery process to determine specific needs of the project. Once the client approves the final concept package, we move the project into the additional design stages needed to produce the final deliverable.

The emotional bonds that a consumer creates with any brand are based on experiences – digital, social, and environmental. The biggest advantage is the creation of an engaging environment that reinforces professionalism, education, and creativity. This is the highest priority in creating a consumer “relationship,” not just a sale that promotes and encourages loyalty, intent-to-return and social credibility.

Leadership Responsibilities:

Lead, manage and accountability (LMA) responsibilities.

Mentor and coach talent up.

Understanding and living the Core Values.

Driving culture of accountability.

Using the EOS philosophy to drive business results.

Drive Sales Strategies by assigned vertical market

Select and qualify target companies and create and deliver integrated plan

Explore and understand the competitive landscape in both services and business terms

Create strategies for existing accounts to add additional products and services including experiential marketing

Managing overall account performance with the ultimate goal of not only meeting but exceeding client expectations

Develop ongoing client relationships at senior management levels

Develop business and marketing/communication strategies for key decision makers within identified client assignments

Develop a strong and accurate sales forecast

Development and maintaining relationships with clients and potential clients to maximize experience and encourage account growth and repeat business

Achieving key sales targets and financial profitability metrics

Develop holistic product solutions by understanding market and client needs

Coordination of system design handoff with internal team and strategy for pricing with client

Support business development in creation and delivery of proposals/SOW’s; develop and drive account growth plans for new divisions in existing accounts

Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful delivery to client expectations

Create, refine and improve departmental and organizational processes that will better serve the client and improve business results

Examples of Strategic Activities:

Annual program management of Storylink pillar accounts

Annualized planning with annual business reviews, branding and marketing partnerships and quarterly update meetings

Knowledge and tracking of client fiscal calendars

Active partnership in proactive trade show budgeting, show planning, pre-during-post show marketing efforts and additional complimentary capabilities (including but not limited to product launch, retail, digital products, signage, events/experiential support, etc.)

Internal partnership with accounting to ensure timely and accurate invoicing within client fiscal budget requirements

Increase business with new and existing Storylink client accounts through recognizing and developing new business opportunities

Expand relationships with existing customers by proactively identifying and implementing solutions that meet that meet their objectives

Work with clients to develop strategic brand engagement plans that furthers the clients’ long term brand direction

Acquire thorough understanding of key customer requirements and champion them throughout the organization

Develop strong and trusting multi-tier relationships with key account stakeholders

Prepare and present proposals for existing client new projects and support new business development in creation and delivery of RFP, RFI and referred client proposals

  • Ability to complete tasks with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
  • Comfortable with extensive travel
