At Strait School of Music, we help students of all ages and skill levels become lifelong music lovers. Are you an experienced educator who's excited to be a part of a great team and a growing school? Than we're looking for you!

We're seeking a seasoned trumpet instructor with 5 years of teaching experience. Experience teaching both kids and adults is required. Additional experience with other brass instruments is ideal.

Our lessons take place on-site and we handle all of the booking, administrative work, marketing, and facilities- all you have to do is teach! Strait Music team members also have access to our company benefits, including medical insurance, paid time off, employee discounts, and more.

Teaching positions are part-time with the opportunity to grow as we expand our student base and programming offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance/Music Education or equivalent professional experience
• 5 years of private lesson and/or classroom teaching experience
• Advanced understanding of music theory and skilled ability to demonstrate techniques relevant to primary instrument.
• Ability to work well with a variety of ages and personalities.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Professional performance experience is a plus.
• Multi-instrument or vocal ability is a plus.
• Educational training, especially in early childhood education, is a plus.
