Position Description:

The Assistant General Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless daily functionality of the entire operation. With strong attention to detail, and a dedication to excellence, the Assistant General Manager will assist the General Manager in all aspects of running a high-quality food and beverage experience in the heart of Aspen.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the General Manager to lead and inspire a team of dedicated staff members, fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar, including opening and closing procedures, staffing, operations of both the front and back of house, and ensuring the highest quality of service.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, TIPS, as well as food and beverage handling standards
• Create memorable experiences for our guests
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control
• Uphold our commitment to providing top-notch customer service by actively engaging with guests, addressing their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Proactively address and resolve any customer, staff, or operational issues in a professional and efficient manner.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor staff
• Work with GM to help schedule staff shifts, and enforce employee policies
• Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and providing guidance and support to the staff
• Ensure seamless execution of the food and beverage program
• Assist the GM in financial matters, such as budgeting, cost control, and reporting, to help achieve revenue and profitability goals.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and help to implement strategies for cost control and revenue growth

Skills/Requirements

• Proven success and leadership experience in high end restaurant, bar, and/or cocktail driven operations
• A strong passion for food and beverage with an emphasis on hospitality driven service
• Excellent communication skills, a commitment to hospitality, and attention to detail
• Ability to handle stressful situations and make sound decisions quickly
• Knowledge of local health and safety regulations
• Up to date with beverage and cocktail trends and best practices
• Strong organizational skills
