JOB TITLE: Acquisition Analyst (Intermediate) PPA: GM

LOCATION:Huntsville, AL
REPORTS TO:SABG Task Lead
FLSA STATUS:Regular Full-Time Exempt
SUMMARY: SABG is hiring an Acquisition Analyst Intermediate to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) GMT organization with development and analysis of programmatic data for program management support, to include monitoring and reporting against the acquisition program baselines, to include assistance with program oversight and execution briefings, development and execution of acquisition strategies/plans, contract requirements packages (e.g., writing SOWs, CDRLs, special provisions, source selection evaluation plans) and supporting prime contract monitoring/management activities.

  • Provide interpretation and support execution of MDA Acquisition policy, directives, guidance, and instructions
  • Collect and analyze cost performance data reports; identify cost, schedule, and performance trends; prepare reports and graphs to present status to IPT and senior managers
  • Assist with planning and execution of Integrated Baseline Reviews and joint surveillance reviews
  • Prepare briefings and correspondence in response to internal taskings and external RFIs (e.g., GAO/Congressional/DoDIG/DoD oversight organizations)
  • Analyze acquisition requirements and provide recommendations
  • Support program and contract management processes through the preparation and/or review of acquisition and program management documentation, briefings, white papers, reports, metrics
SUPERVISION:This position has no supervisory responsibilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Capable of comprehending acquisition management/programmatic analysis to support stakeholder requirements. Has specialized relevant knowledge and works as a member of the team and assists with solving complex problems. Advanced level working knowledge, skills, and abilities using Microsoft Office. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5 years’ experience in the DoD system acquisition life cycle desirable
  • Prior MDA experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in acquisition, procurement, and contracting highly desirable
Computer Skills
  • Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
