JOB TITLE: Advanced Analyst

FLSA STATUS:Regular Full-Time Exempt

SUMMARY: SABG is hiring an Advanced Strategic Planning Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in Huntsville, Alabama. Advanced Analysts will support Agency Executives and Senior Leaders with day-to-day mission planning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Provide day-to-day Strategic Planning support to the Defense of Guam Project Office.
  • Capable of delivering a high level of customer support and integration, handling several complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Possess an elevated understanding and experience in Ballistic Missile Defense Systems to develop and refine PowerPoint presentations, documents and Talking Points.
  • Review staff packages to prepare them for approval, which includes editing final products for historic relevance and current considerations.
  • Create and edit the Weekly Report for a large, complex organization, to be used by the MDA Director and senior staff.
  • Ensure all staff actions required are completed accurately and all suspense’s met.
  • Review all correspondence requiring the Director’s signature and correspondence going to the Director for review.
  • Draft, coordinate, and submit weekly Staff Call Charts, End-of-Week Reports and weekly SITREP to the front office.

SUPERVISION:This position has no supervisory responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Has specialized relevant knowledge and works as a member of the team and assists with solving complex problems. Advanced level working knowledge, skills, and abilities using Microsoft Office. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years relevant experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
