JOB TITLE : Junior Training/Workshop Analyst

LOCATION : The Pentagon, Arlington, VA

CLEARANCE : Top Secret is required

REPORTS TO : SABG Program Manager

FLSA STATUS : Regular Full-Time Exempt

SUMMARY : SABG is seeking a Junior Training/Workshop Analyst to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OSD) Policy Management and Operations Shared Services (PMOSS) office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the development, facilitation, and tracking of training, workshops, and offsite events for the OSD PMOSS office
  • Facilitate career development for Policy personnel for all career levels and Policy-specific strategic communications planning
  • Support executive level priorities to organizational effectiveness
  • Provide subject matter expertise and support enhancements to Policy's performance management process
  • Manage requested training and professional development requests by the Policy workforce and the scheduling of emergent training and professional development opportunities for the Policy workforce by populating details of the events

SUPERVISION : This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience assisting in the development, facilitation, and tracking of training, workshops, and offsite events is required
  • Knowledge of training principles and frameworks

COMPUTER SKILLS :

  • Skilled in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and/or procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
