Overview:
SDS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Programmer / Analyst to join our San Diego team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with MS-SQL Server, including advanced features such as stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning. Additionally, the candidate should possess a strong programming background in various languages, including .NET, C , C#, F#, Visual Basic, and Python.
Job Responsibilities include:
Database Development: Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL Server databases, including stored procedures, synonyms, and indexes.
Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance through indexing strategies, query optimization, and system resource management.
Programming: Develop and integrate database solutions using programming languages such as .NET, C , C#, F#, Visual Basic, and Python.
Data Management: Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all database systems.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, development processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with other developers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand and implement database requirements and solutions.
Upgrades and Maintenance: Plan and execute database upgrades and maintenance tasks, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Active DOD Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related science or engineering fields.
- 8 years of experience as a systems analyst or software developer and with the following items:
Software Development Lifecycle Management and best practices.
Web and/or mobile application development.
The following programming languages and frameworks: .NET, C , C#, F#, Visual Basic and Python
