Strategic Mobility Group is Hiring a Director of Warehouse and Inventory Near Schaumburg, IL

The director of warehouse and inventory is responsible for managing the warehouse team and overseeing the accurate recording, tracking, and transferring of inventory, both physically and through our Salesforce System. The warehouse department will work with many different departments within our ever-evolving environment to provide our clients with the best overall experience.

  • Manage the warehouse team, ensuring compliance with all warehouse processes and procedures. Ensure accurate and timely recording of all inventory transactions.
  • Responsible for managing inventory management database, including the receipt, recording and delivery of all purchases materials.
  • Work closely with the operations, accounting, project management, sales, and professional services department to process customer orders accordingly.
  • Ensuring all warehousing and inventory control objectives are met, including inventory turnover ratios, on-hand accuracy, lowering inventory valuation, and management of obsolete inventory.
  • Manage and serve as the company liaison with freight companies and carriers.
  • Manage the warehouse team and their workload by prioritizing and delegating work assignments and monitoring productivity and work quality.
  • Utilize system reports to support optimum stock level.
  • Provide a monthly inventory report for management.
  • Assure cycle counts are completed timely and accurately and conduct monthly and daily physical inventory counts.
  • Ensure complete accuracy with all shipments to clients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in inventory control, materials, warehouse, and / or field distribution.
  • Ability to work independently, trouble shoot and perform corrective procedures, and meet inflexible commitment deadlines.
  • Experience that demonstrates strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.

  • Full time in office
  • Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm
