Certified Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counselor- Oak Park, IL Area

We are conducting a search for a Certified Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counselor within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in the Oak Park, IL area. We are looking for someone who has their CDAC Certification. This position will be responsible for providing counseling and intervention strategies for residents that are consistent with treatment goals and individual needs. This position will collaborate with family members, staff and residents to create and maintain safe and effective rehabilitation outcomes, and will also have oversight to the discharge planning process, as well.

Requirements:

• BA or BS in Social Work or related field

• Prior related experience preferred

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Demonstrated ability to effectively handle conflict and work successfully with diverse populations
