Office Location: Reston, Virginia – Onsite 4 – 5 days per week

Contract Length: 6 – 12 months with conversion into permanent employment after.

Full-time contract 8 Hours per day, 5 days per week

Pay rate: $35 - $67.50 USD Per hour – Depending on experience

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Administrator to join our growing team in Reston, Virginia. This SC-cleared position will play a key role in ensuring the critical Windows server infrastructure's smooth operation, stability, and security.

Responsibilities:

• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory (Desirable)
• Deployment and management of virtual machines using VMware (High Priority)
• Implementation and troubleshooting of network configurations (High Priority)
• System image creation and deployment using tools like SCCM (Desirable)
• Scripting automation for repetitive tasks (Desirable)
• User account management and access control (Desirable)
• Security patching and vulnerability management
• Monitoring system performance and proactively addressing potential issues
• Maintaining detailed documentation of systems and procedures
• Working collaboratively with IT colleagues and end-users to resolve technical issues

Desired Skills:

• Minimum 1 years of experience as a Systems Administrator
• Proven experience with Windows Server administration
• In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking principles
• Experience with Active Directory Domain Services
• Experience with System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM)
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services (Nice to Have)
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
