SummaryStrattec is committed to building on a “CI Culture” by creating an engaged workforce that works together collaboratively to identify and implement sustained improvements within the Milwaukee Manufacturing facility. The CI Manager role will lead our organization in growing “CI Culture” by creating strategy, identifying opportunities, establishing collaborative environments, aligning with key stakeholders, prioritizing & planning activity, measuring results and communicating & rewarding the successes.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
  • Identify, prioritize and track cost reduction and productivity improvement opportunities throughout the Milwaukee manufacturing organization
  • Align with key stakeholders to create solutions, develop layouts & implementation plans, and drive completion of improvement activities
  • Lead and facilitate area visioning events and kaizen activities
  • Develop recommended strategy for deployment of smart factory concepts which include understanding market best practices, identifying leading market solutions, obtaining cost estimates, creating capital budget requests and leading implementation
  • Leverage lean concepts and industry benchmarks such as Kanban, visual factory, standard work, error proofing, single piece flow, six sigma, kaizen, TPM and Industry 4.0 to simplify the organization and eliminate decisions
  • Utilize tools such as layered audits, process controls, KPI’s, corrective/preventive action process, SPC and error proofing to sustain improvements
  • Establish system of identifying, rewarding and communicating “Above and Beyond” behaviors by both teams and individuals to create a collaborative “CI culture”
  • Lead employee engagement measurement and improvement activities for the organization
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis role may have supervisory responsibilities as the “CI Culture” grows. If supervisory responsibility is assigned, duties will include interviewing, training, creating challenging objectives, planning/prioritizing work, appraising performance, providing constructive feedback, development planning, succession planning, and working with human resources to address all disciplinary/associate issues as necessary.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Technical or Operations related field
  • Six Sigma Black belt certification preferred
  • Understanding of lean concepts and how to apply them to a manufacturing environment
  • Efficiently collect, analyze and present data in a clear & concise format
  • Interpret data analysis and provide insightful recommended solutions
  • Ability to influence others thru good communication skills
