Position Overview: Cliff Drysdale Tennis is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Tennis Professionals to join our dynamic team of coaches at Southampton, Saltaire and Stratton Mountain!
About Stratton Mountain, Stratton Vermont: A property with an iconic tennis history, Stratton Mountain offers multiple racquet sport opportunities. With 6 hard courts, 6 European red-clay courts and 8 fully dedicated pickleball courts, members and guests have multiple programming options at their fingertips. One of the busiest summer programs in the country due to its junior camp and academy program, coaches will also have the opportunity to deliver clinics, lessons and run special events for both tennis and pickleball. Ideal candidates are familiar with both tennis and pickleball.
- Provides beginning through advanced instruction (private and group) for all levels and ages of players.
- Assists in the promotion of and conducting tennis clinics, private lessons, special events and programs to attract and maintain members’ tennis interests.
- Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive tennis lessons and programs to ensure students develop along a pathway that will encourage continued involvement in tennis.
- Assists in supervising play and ensure proper charging of fees.
- Ensure students understand tennis rules, scoring procedures, safety rules and tennis etiquette.
- Enforces all club rules and regulations governing the use of the club/facility, its equipment and other property.
- Responds to member/guest questions, comments, and concerns in a professional, tactful and timely manner.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education/Experience:
Complete USTA SafePlay Certification prior to position start
Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, talks, hears, reaches with hands and arms, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Occasionally sits. Regularly lifts 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions; noise level is moderate.
