Key Responsibilities Include
- General accounting tasks include account reconciliations, journal entries, and billing / payable data review.
- Manage Accounting Clerk or equivalent.
- Must have financial modeling experience and project accounting experience.
- Analysis and review of company expenditures, confirming proper expense allocation to the various projects and departments, and reporting to the various departments as necessary.
- Analyze project actuals and estimates, record database details, and meet with project managers to understand variances.
- Month-end close responsibilities, including Profit & Loss analysis, accrued expenses, accounts payable, and other balance sheet reconciliations.
- Reviewing invoices and revenue to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Review budgets to actuals and make notes of variances.
- Conduct AP/AR transactions.
- Seeking ways to improve accounting processes and procedures both nationally and internationally.
- Assisting with and handling special projects as needed.
- 3 – 4 years or more experience as a Sr. Staff Accountant.
- CPA/CPA eligible.
- Experience assisting with annual external audits.
- Experience with accounting in multiple currencies.
- Experience with local and state tax filings.
- Experience with advanced accounting systems (Intacct, Microsoft, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.), Gravity preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Self-starter, quick learner, and ability to multi-task regularly.
- Experience in a role that requires substantial multi-tasking and prioritization skills in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
