Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYThe Research Analyst provides market research and analysis to Stream brokers and management for the Greater Phoenix commercial real estate markets. The role will encompass certain tasks around the collection and analysis of core data, as well as a range of activities that contribute to and support the production and delivery of research material.
Responsibilities
  • Proactively collect, update, and maintain data in proprietary commercial property databases ensuring consistently accurate and current market information related to lease/sale comparables, development data, performance metrics, and statistics.
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret data required for writing quarterly market reports.
  • Identify and report on market statistics and research data to uncover real estate trends for use as actionable insights for business pursuits and in the creation of research deliverables such as market and submarket analyses, presentations, and white papers.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to support key stakeholders by preparing research materials and communication for business development, prospecting, pitch and/or proposal materials, economic intelligence, research products and thought leadership, assuring the data quality is in accordance with corporate standards.
  • Attend internal brokerage meetings and external real estate conferences to gather insights on the commercial real estate market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with brokers and research peers both within and outside of Stream Realty Partners.
  • Track data on newly available properties, transactions, tenants, tenants in the market and new developments using internal and external resources.
  • Respond to all internal and external client requests for data and information.
  • May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers on data subscription resources and tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or associate degree and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial real estate or other market research role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets, including the ability to update and audit data.
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service.
  • Ability to effectively present information.
  • Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents.
  • Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
  • Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) or other data visualization technology desired, but not required.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite desired, but not required.
  • Decision-making ability with the understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
  • Proactive and positive attitude.
