Reports To: General Manager

Responsibilities:
(3-5 years experience preferred)
· Manage and supervise a team of skilled tradesmen, mechanics, and maintenance staff, fostering a positive team mentality and productive work environment.
· Collaborate with Human Resources in the hiring and recruitment processes for the Maintenance department.
· Ensure a safe and productive work environment by enforcing company policies, safety regulations, and promoting best practices.
· Immediately address all critical injuries, according to StressCrete’s Critical Injury protocols.
· Provide the first response to all employee conflicts, seeking additional support if necessary.
· Communicate disciplinary action in the forms of reprimands and suspensions, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely and thorough manner.
· Collaborate with the General Manager, General Foreman, and other relevant parties to design production projects, providing mechanical expertise and advice.
· Provide expertise and advice to generate solutions for mechanical and production issues.
· Lead all advanced troubleshooting efforts on complex mechanical issues, identifying root cases and implementing effective solutions to minimize production downtime.
· Procure reputable contractors for large-scale production projects and coordinate with relevant parties for seamless project execution.
· Research and recommend innovative strategies to improve productivity, enhance safety protocols, and maximize cost savings.
· Oversee emergency response efforts for equipment breakdowns, ensuring standby equipment availability and quick response to emergencies.
· Develop and facilitate a training plan for all new and current employees within the Maintenance department.
· Oversee the training of Production employees on the safe operation of heavy machinery.
· Conduct inspections and assessments on Maintenance employees’ work to ensure compliance with safety standards, quality standards, and competency.
· Oversee the training and development of all apprentices within the Maintenance department.
· Coordinate the enrollment of all apprentices in educational programs that meet legislative requirements.
· Organize and conduct hands-on training tailored to the on-site requirements of the apprenticeship program.
· Evaluate apprentice performance and perform assessments to ensure readiness for certification.
· Continuously develop and oversee a preventative maintenance schedule with tasks aimed at preventing breakdowns and minimizing production interruptions.
· Coordinate routine maintenance inspections for various areas of the property, departments, and safety concerns.
· Manage the CMMS software to monitor, track, and prioritize work orders.
· Utilize the CMMS software to delegate activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
· Oversee the Maintenance department inventory, maintaining accurate records of tool and material levels.
· Maintain and restock the Maintenance department inventory, purchasing materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
· Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to obtain cost-effective quotes on materials and equipment.

· Work alongside Production to maintain a steady workflow.
· Present oneself in a professional, respectful manner in all situations.· Contribute in a positive, courteous, and constructive way.· Promote an atmosphere of compassion, trust, and civility at all times towards co-workers.
Educational & Experience: (5-10 years experience)
· Mechanical - Industrial Mechanic certification is required .
· Electrical - Industrial Electrician Journeyman is considered an asset. Master Electrician is preferred.
· PLC - Proficiency with Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controls – troubleshoot and program
· Hydraulic/Pneumatic - Able to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot hydraulic/pneumatic systems and components
· Proficiency with CMMS software, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), is required.
