UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is the largest Orthopaedic group in Western New York. We are currently hiring for Full time and Part time Physical Therapy Assistants at all of our Physical Therapy locations:
JOB SUMMARY
The Physical Therapist Assistant, under direct supervision of a Physical Therapist, will work in an outpatient orthopaedic setting, and will be responsible for treatment of various orthopaedic injuries including pre and post-surgical conditions. Works closely with Orthopaedic Surgeons, Physical Therapists, Athletic Trainers, and other staff to provide injury management, rehabilitation, and successful return to function for patients.
JOB DUTIES
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required, along with successful completion of a NYS or APTA accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Must possess NYS licensure upon hire.
Background in sports medicine and/or professional experience in outpatient orthopaedic environment preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Must be able to multi-task and desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
Must be able to remain standing and ambulatory for 75% of the work day. Must be able to assist patients on/off equipment, treatment tables, or other equipment. Will need to move about the office occasionally to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. May occasionally travel to various practice locations. Will frequently communicate with patients, staff, and provider; must be able to exchange accurate information.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in a clinical setting, with light to moderate noise levels.

Pay: $18.50 - $23.00 per hour
