**Job Overview:**

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to lead our team. The Bar Manager will oversee all aspects of the bar operations, ensuring exceptional service and a memorable experience for our guests.

**Responsibilities:**

- Managing kitchen operations related to bar service

- Ensuring efficient food production and quality standards

- Providing strong leadership to the bar team

- Bartending as needed to support the team

- Implementing hotel standards for service excellence

- Enforcing food safety regulations and practices

- Overseeing inventory control and ordering supplies

- Supervising daily operations and resolving issues promptly

- Maintaining standards for fine dining experience in the bar area

Inventory Management

  • Regular Inventory Audits:
  • Conduct weekly and monthly physical counts of all bar stock, including alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and supplies.
  • Use inventory management software to track and record stock levels.
  • Order Forecasting:
  • Analyze sales trends and historical data to predict future inventory needs.
  • Develop and implement ordering schedules to ensure consistent stock levels without overstocking.
  • Supplier Relations:
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to optimize costs.
  • Stock Reconciliation:
  • Compare physical counts with inventory records to identify discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies, such as shrinkage, theft, or waste.
  • Product Rotation:
  • Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) practices to ensure older stock is used first.
  • Monitor expiration dates on perishable items and ensure timely usage.

Restocking

  • Daily Restocking:
  • Ensure the bar is fully stocked at the beginning of each shift with all necessary items.
  • Replenish bar stations with alcohol, mixers, glassware, and garnishes throughout the shift.
  • Par Levels Maintenance:
  • Establish and maintain par levels for all bar items.
  • Regularly review and adjust par levels based on consumption patterns and special events.
  • Storage Management:
  • Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure easy access and prevent damage to products.
  • Ensure all stock is stored under proper conditions (e.g., temperature-controlled environments for specific beverages).

Quality Control

  • Product Quality Checks:
  • Regularly inspect products for quality and freshness.
  • Remove and properly dispose of any expired or damaged items.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience in interviewing and hiring staff

- Strong background in kitchen management within a bar setting

- Knowledge of food production processes and quality control

- Exceptional leadership skills to motivate and guide the team

- Bartending experience is a plus

- Familiarity with hotel industry standards for service

- Understanding of food safety protocols and regulations

- Proficiency in inventory control and ordering procedures

- Previous experience in supervising a team effectively
