THE JOB
As a Sr Test Technician your roles and responsibilities will include:

Responsible for ensuring turbomachinery equipment for PRU projects (refurbs, retrofits, and package system upgrades) is tested per engineering specifications in the allotted time schedule.
Support other necessary test operations such as installation of packages or compressors in test, setting up control systems, connecting necessary test equipment, and performing package alignment.
Ensure turbomachinery equipment operates safely and as defined per engineering specifications and special customer requirements.
Complete testing operations safely and efficiently per established processes, procedures and guidelines.
Review ACS, Engineering Media (Electrical Schematic, Wiring Diagram, Hydro mechanical Drawings), photos, software and any other up-front, project definition deliverables for discrepancies.
Document all discrepancies identified during test and ensure issues are resolved prior to completing test.
Interface with the customers during customer witness, answering questions and making modifications to ensure equipment is compliant with customer requirements.
Serve as a liaison for the test team to ensure a constant safe work environment for employees and customers by ensuring all persons in the test cell follow all safety processes and procedures.
Perform all required 5s duties consistently and proactively look for potential lean or efficiency improvements within test processes.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal Sr Test Technician would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:Qualifications

Basic understanding of turbomachinery equipment and package components
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and hydro mechanical drawings
Basic knowledge in Microsoft Windows/Office, Lotus Notes, Internet Explorer
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced changing environment
Proactive problem-solving skills required to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues
Flexible employee willing to work in a team environment
Maintain high level of quality with a customer focused attitude
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Desired experience:

3-5 years experience with turbomachinery equipment
Product knowledge of controls specifications, package systems, and modes of operation and functionality
Experience building and installing package components and sub-assemblies
Experience assembling and wiring control consoles
Knowledge of TT4 software and hardware a plus
