Job Description: Board Member - Strong Castle Outreach - FORT WORTH, TX

Position Overview:

Strong Castle Outreach is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will play a vital role in guiding our organization towards fulfilling its mission of empowering and uplifting our community through innovative programs and outreach initiatives. We are looking for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact and are eager to contribute their skills and expertise to help develop new projects and programs that align with our mission statement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Community Engagement: Actively participate in community events and initiatives to foster relationships and enhance the organization's visibility and impact.

- Program Development: Collaborate with fellow board members and staff to identify, develop, and implement new projects and programs that align with Strong Castle Outreach's mission and strategic goals.

- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and refinement of the organization's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with community needs and organizational capabilities.

- Fundraising and Resource Development: Support fundraising efforts by identifying potential donors and sponsors, participating in fundraising events, and leveraging personal and professional networks.

- Governance: Attend and participate in regular board meetings, providing oversight and guidance on organizational policies and practices.

- Advocacy: Serve as an ambassador for Strong Castle Outreach, promoting its mission, programs, and initiatives within the community and beyond.

- Mentorship: Offer support and guidance to staff and volunteers, sharing expertise and insights to enhance program effectiveness and organizational growth.

Monthly Contributions and Meetings:

- Meeting Attendance: Board members are expected to attend monthly board meetings, which are typically held on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Meetings may include a combination of in-person and virtual formats.

- Monthly Contributions: Board members are encouraged to participate in monthly contributions, which is helpful to foster our continued growth and development of our programs and to our organization.

- Committee Involvement: Board members are encouraged to serve on at least one committee (e.g., Fundraising, Program Development, Governance) to support the organization's work and to ensure effective collaboration and communication among board members.

- Time Commitment: Board members should expect to dedicate approximately 4-6 hours per month to board-related activities, including meetings, committee work, and community engagement efforts.

Qualifications:

- MUST BE LOCATED IN FORT WORTH, TX

- A strong commitment to the mission of Strong Castle Outreach and a passion for community service.

- Previous experience in nonprofit governance, community engagement, or program development is preferred.

- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals and stakeholders.
