JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Accounting Function 

  • Manage and execute all accounts payable and receivable functions 
  • Prepare financial statements and accounting reports on a regular basis 
  • Prepare state & fed taxes etc. 
  • Prepare and perform year end operations 
  • Prepare reports for Workers Compensation and other annual audits 
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by posting account transactions. 
  • Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions. 
  • Resolves discrepancies by investigating documentation, payments or adjustments. 
  • Assist external CPA with percentage of completion analysis, quarterly financial reports 
  • Translate sworn statements into receivables and payables 
  • Prepare and file wage reports as required, both internal and external 
  • Translate time sheets into monthly payroll and handle all payroll functions 
  • Maintain vendor database, lines of credit and banking details 
  • Assist project managers to confirm paid out amounts, remaining to be paid, etc. 
  • Work with management and external CPA on special projects 
  • Work with PMs, assist with draws, waivers and other construction accounting functions 
  • Prepare or review prevailing wage sheets and enter into specific third-party programs 
  • Pay payroll taxes and other government invoices 
  • Update all procedures on a regular basis 

Human Resources Liaison Function 

  • Communicate 401K program correspondence, provide updates, make payments 
  • Track employee sick days and vacation days 
  • Communicate health insurance, update forms, make payments 
  • Communicate sexual harassment training 
  • Update employee handbook 
  • Work on special projects with management, etc. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

  • College Degree preferred
  • Experience with Quickbooks 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Software 
  • Strong organization and follow up skills
