Sturgis Charter Public School is actively seeking dedicated Special Education Inclusion Specialists to join our team for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. Our Inclusion Specialists play a crucial role in monitoring, tracking, and supporting the growth and learning of students on Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) within our dynamic International Baccalaureate for All curriculum. We are looking for individuals who not only bring expertise but also possess a strong sense of responsibility and openness to grow within the Sturgis community.Responsibilities:-Establish meaningful rapport with students receiving inclusion support services.-Review IEPs for students under inclusion support, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of student accommodations and content-specific goals.-Foster working relationships with content area teachers through regular communication and meetings.-Effectively communicate daily with both content area teachers and special education teachers to discuss the academic progress of students.-Ensure that accommodations and content delivery outlined in the IEP are consistently provided as indicated.-Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of the role.-Assist individual students in Study Skills classes to enhance their learning experience.-Attend department meetings, faculty-based meetings, professional development, and in-service activities.-Undertake other responsibilities related to the position as assigned.
