About The Job
- Support the processes and growth of various internal departments, including leadership, sales, carrier management, customer service, and support staff
- Monitor the effectiveness of operations processes, ensuring accurate prioritization and timely improvements are made as needed
- Responsible for setting and tracking KPIs, analyzing resulting data, and implementing process improvements in response to increase productivity, speed, order accuracy, and other logistics metrics
- Strategize and develop new initiatives that support overall organizational goals
- Prepare budgets for operations based on projected demand, assisting internal teams with the development of budgets and creation of department goals, helping to define success targets to evaluate their effectiveness
- Coordinate with department leaders to determine the resources needed to accomplish their tasks and plans for obtaining resources that may not be available
- Maintain high levels of communication and coordination with both senior leadership and employees, sustaining a strong culture of collaboration and customer-orientation
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 7 years work experience in the logistics industry
- Experience in a supervisory or team management role is required
- Experience using a TMS is required
- Strong understanding of CRMs, pricing, and rating
- Effective relationship building and team management skills that can be used to further develop and motivate teams
- Highly collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively and professionally across all departments to build successful relationships
- Strong communication skills
