What You Will Do:
Purchasing Agents are outgoing, analytical, and appreciate multitasking. They strive to care, serve, and improve. The work is fast-paced and requires accuracy. The position involves a mix of meeting with people (in and out of the office), talking on the phone, and doing individual computer work.
- Recruits, selects, and maintains a base of Trade Partners and suppliers
- Negotiates prices, terms, and rebates with suppliers, manufacturers, and Trade Partners.
- Maintains the Stylecraft Building Specification and continually researches and implements innovative products, techniques, and changes in the home building industry.
- Effectively build relationships internally and externally while providing an exceptional level of communication.
What You Will Bring
- A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in construction or purchasing, preferably in the home building industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Construction, or closely related field with a minimum of two (2) years experience, preferably in the home building industry.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough and high attention to detail.
- Well organized with ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze data from various sources and provide feedback on findings.
- Advanced understanding of technology systems and applications (Computers, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
