Job SummaryAs an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory records and insuring proper packaging and storage of stock. You will be responsible for setting up inventory levels to insure the availability of stock and review and fix any discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory control and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. They should be familiar with inventory management software and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Analyzes and sets adequate inventory levels to support production requirements.
  • Includes making sure the ABC analysis is performed regularly.
  • Setting max / min for purchase and manufacturing parts
  • Update, correct, and maintain stickers and labels
  • Includes making sure new parts are setup correctly within Epicor.
  • Oversee and manage physical inventory
  • Setting and reviewing lot sizes
  • Packaging - develop procedures for accuracy
  • Assist in developing and maintaining proper inventory storage and methods.
  • Oversee replenishment type
  • Develops proper inventory handling procedures to protect inventory from damage or spoilage. (re-usable bins, boxes, totes, etc.)
  • Maintains inventory accuracy by running the daily cycle counts process.
  • Includes setting the correct number of parts to count
  • Includes coming up with corrective actions when count issues arise.
  • Monitors and Verifies that inventory will be available and ready to support production jobs.
  • Maintain Inventory levels, accuracy, planning parameters, storage, and all other aspects to support production requirements.
  • Investigate and develop corrective actions based on cycle count findings.
  • Assist Shipping and Receiving daily with labeling and support when needed
  • Assist Production Manager with various warehouse tasks, bin locations, and identification

  • Update documentation, including electronic systems, with accurate, real-time, appropriate information according to established practices and procedures.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner with both internal and external customers.

Knowledge, Skills Or Abilities (KSA’s)
  • Knowledge of computer programs such as Epicor, MS Outlook, and MS Office.
  • Skills in problem-solving, verbal and written communication, and computer aptitude.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, stretch wrapper, cardboard compactor, hoists, and other material handling equipment.
  • Skill in managing one’s own time and the time of others
  • Skill in using mathematics to solve problems
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a diverse group of people.
  • Exhibit individual initiative and the ability to work independently
