The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The primary focus of this role will be on budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes related to direct costs on the P&L as well as revenue for the Retail Insights, Alternative Data, and Consulting product lines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial analysis, budget management, and a deep understanding of cost accounting principles.
What You Will Do:
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the annual budget for direct costs, collaborating with various departments to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Drive the forecasting process for direct costs, providing timely and accurate updates to management on variances and trends.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze actual vs. budgeted performance, identifying key drivers of variances and recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reorts and analysis to senior leadership, highlighting insights and key performance indicators related to direct costs.
  • Manage the month-end close process for direct costs and revenue areas, ensuring timely and accurate recording of expenses and allocations.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business initiatives.
  • Continuously assess and improve existing processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with a focus on direct costs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with financial planning and reporting systems (e.g., IBM Planning Analytics, SAP, Hyperion) preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

The Interview Process:
Every role starts the same, an introductory call with someone from our Talent Acquisition team. We will be looking for company and values-fit as well as your professional experience; there may be some technical role-specific questions during this call.
