Job Summary:

The Product Manager, Suffolk Technologies will work closely with startups on product roadmap and key feature development to increase adoption across Suffolk and the construction industry more broadly. This role will work to create enterprise value for Suffolk through partnerships with promising built world technologies. The Product Manager, Suffolk Technologies responsibilities also include analyzing and presenting opportunities to recognize and capture value through the development and scaleup of technology companies at Suffolk. Additionally, this role will work on deployment plans, performance evaluation, ROI analysis, and provide actionable feedback to the startups. Acting as a liaison between Suffolk Technologies, startups, and internal stakeholders, this role will cultivate startup relationships, drive product development, and create valuable partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage partnerships with startups to provide early testing, insights, and support that would better ensure smooth adoption and usage of new technologies at Suffolk and beyond.
  • Evaluate the ROI of technology adoption and make data-driven recommendations for future deployments.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of select adopted technologies, providing recommendations for improvements to startups and the enterprise.
  • Manage strong relationships with startups, understanding their goals and aligning them with Suffolk’s objectives.
  • Capture feedback and insights from operations to inform iterative improvements for startups and support adoption across Suffolk and ultimately across the industry.
  • Work with the technology companies to develop, present, and implement strategies to generate enterprise value (lowering cost, increasing fees, creating additional revenue streams) through scaling technologies across multiple job sites.
  • Advise on the deployment plan and tactics of specific technologies within Suffolk Construction.
  • Evaluate whether the technology solves pain points at Suffolk Construction and navigate the nuances between startup goals and Suffolk’s goals.
  • Collaborate across Legal, Risk, IT, Data, and Operational Excellence to guarantee the tech solution's adherence to Suffolk's contractual terms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Construction or Real Estate experience required.
  • Experience in innovation, product management, or change management.
  • Ability to analyze, synthesize, and present implementation plans and expected results for measurement.
  • Passionate about driving innovation in the construction industry.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and individually.
  • Results driven, highly organized, able to prioritize and multi-tasking.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with construction technology startups.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent)

Working Conditions
