Job Summary and Key Objectives:
Develop and improve manufacturing processes to ensure safe operation while meeting customer expectations and meeting budget.

Essential Functions:
  • Serve as technical resource in communicating/coordinating with plant management for the execution of (but not limited to): process improvement strategies, equipment troubleshooting, procedural development/implementation, etc.
  • Act as primary plant resource for transitioning capital projects from corporate engineering to plant production personnel.
  • Train and guide operations technicians; compile and author technical documents such as SOPs; develop visual factory management tools.
  • Collect production data, analyze for identification of process bottlenecks, and develop corrective actions.
  • Drive plant continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, over-processing and waste discharge.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Support maintenance organization coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by conforming to procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
Preferred Education and Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, or minimum two years' plant or process engineering experience in liquid processing environment.
•Focused on process improvement.
•Experience with commitment to excellence, including Safety and Quality Assurance.
Required Competencies and Skills:
•Work Environment English language fluency - listening and comprehending, speaking, reading, and writing.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Interpersonal skills with all external and internal customers - displays passion and optimism, conflict resolution, professionalism, confidentiality, timely and appropriate response to questions or complaints, seeks feedback and consensus when possible, meets commitments, creates teambuilding, identifies and supports efforts to succeed.
Working Conditions and Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to heat and cold, moving vehicles, moving machinery parts, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in manufacturing or chemical industries
