Title: Thermal Lab Technician - Liquid Cooling Thermal Testing (Including Lab Inventory Management)

Required:EPA 608 certification to handle refrigerants safely and Lab work experience

Habana, an Intel Company, is seeking a skilled and hands-on Lab Technician with expertise in liquid cooling, test execution, software development (Labview), and lab management. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up lab experiments, developing temperature control systems, possess software development and coding skills (such as Labview), and also be experienced in managing lab inventory. Additionally, EPA 608 certification IS REQUIRED to handle refrigerants safely.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, contribute to the advancement of research and development efforts, generate the necessary data to influence product decisions, and also oversee lab inventory management and lab operations.

  • Responsibilities include setting up and configuring lab experiments involving liquid cooling systems using fluidic elements, developing and implementing temperature control systems to ensure accurate and stable thermal performance, collaborating with engineers and scientists to design experimental setups, and performing testing, measurements, and data collection during lab experiments.
  • The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to cooling systems, temperature control, and software integration, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions. They will also develop software applications and code as needed to support temperature control systems and data acquisition processes.
  • Additionally, the Lab Technician will manage lab inventory, including ordering, receiving, organizing, and tracking supplies, equipment, and materials. They will conduct regular inventory audits, maintain accurate records, and ensure stock levels are adequate for ongoing experiments and research activities. Adhering to safety protocols and procedures, especially in handling refrigerants while maintaining EPA 608 certification requirements, is of utmost importance.
  • Documenting experimental procedures, observations, and results accurately and in a timely manner is another crucial responsibility. The Lab Technician will stay up-to-date with emerging trends and advancements in liquid cooling technologies and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Requirements for this position include an associate degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field, proven experience in setting up lab experiments and working with liquid cooling systems, a solid understanding of liquid cooling systems using fluidic elements, and proficiency in developing and implementing temperature control systems. Strong troubleshooting skills, experience in software development and coding, and proven ability to manage lab inventory are also required.

Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field, experience in developing and implementing software applications for lab automation and control systems, knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools, familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in laboratory environments, and an understanding of experimental design principles and statistical analysis methods.
