Summary

The Facilities and Equipment Engineering Technician position is an hourly position that works to maintain our facility and semiconductor process equipment. The position will require membership in the Emergency Response Team (ERT).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Responsible for the maintenance (including scheduled maintenance, test, diagnose, analyze and repair) of our semiconductor processing equipment and HVAC & facilities equipment. * Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the waste water treatment system.* Maintaining necessary records including but not limited to: process and facilities equipment checklists, preventative maintenance records, and facility, equipment & alarm logs.* Handling hazardous materials, both semiconductor process chemicals and generated hazardous waste.* Developing or improving maintenance procedures for existing systems on an as-needed basis.* Fulfilling team objectives of overall improvement in production efficiency and quality.* Be an active member of the Emergency Response Team; SCBA/Supplied air use required. * Maintaining required training certifications.* Adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

* Technical degree or certification in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Facility Operator equivalent education with minimum of three years of relevant experience in semiconductor high volume manufacturing* Good oral and verbal communication skills* Effective trouble-shooting skills * Effective time management skills* Basic computer operating skills* Ability to work with a diverse group of people* Maintenance of CVD, Si epi or MOCVD equipment and or Facilities Operations experience preferred.* Certification in hazardous materials handling is desirable. Applicant must be willing to become certified in HazardousWaste Operations and Emergency Response. (HAZWOPER)

Physical Demands

* Ability to lift 50 pounds* Normal noise levels are low to moderate, but there are a few areas in the building with high noise levels (hearing protection will be provided).* Applicant must wear cleanroom gown, mask, gloves, booties, etc. when required.* Applicant must be able to use half face or full face respirator and positive pressure SCBA equipment.* Regular and consistent attendance at the plant.* Ability to travel regularly by airline and public transportation systems.* Ability to work for extended periods of time in a cleanroom environment

Work Environment

* A portion of time will be in the cleanroom* 12-hour shift, 6:00am-6:30pm or 6:00pm-6:30am, 3 days every other Wednesday or 3 days every other Saturday* Possible over-time (OT) required occasionally* Will handle a range of semiconductor chemicals, gases and hazardous waste
