The Event Driver oversees the planning and execution of logistics for all Sumitomo Rubber North America Inc (SRNA) motorsports and event activities, including forecasting transporter travel time. They also supervise the aesthetic and mechanical maintenance of SRNA transportation equipment used in marketing programs, ensuring compliance with all SRNA safety and fleet policies. Coordination for Trade and Car Shows Minimum QualificationsWORK EXPERIENCE: Ten (10) years DOT Class A operation experience ACADEMIC/TRAINING: A High School Diploma or equivalent, and certification from an accredited Truck Driving School, or a combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. SKILLS: Ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills. Must possess a clean driving record (no more than 2 points. Must be detailed oriented and self motivated, with the ability to represent SRNA at multiple events. Must be extremely organized and able to handle multiple projects at one time. Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to stand, sit, move, stoop, crouch, and use fingers for extended periods of time. May require walking primarily on a level surface, reaching above shoulder heights and below the waist, as well as lifting up to 100 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is typical of an office environment where the air is controlled and kept at mild temperatures. The work environment also consists of routine travel involving planes, cars, outdoor motorsport venues, entertainment facilities, restaurants, sports environments and office environment.
