Summary of Position:
The District Manager (DM) is responsible for leading and motivating location managers ultimately delivering the desired operating and financial results for assigned locations. This is a local traveling position with occasional overnight stays. The DM will report to the president and work from our office in Brownsburg, IN, where they will manage multiple remote locations in Indiana and Illinois (Bloomington, IL, Crawfordsville, IN, Brownsburg, IN, Indianapolis, IN, Noblesville, IN & Dayton, OH).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Delivery of all company and branch goals and metrics
  • Instruct, train, lead, coach and develop branch level managers to become highly proficient with the ability to develop others
  • Creates an environment that fosters trust, dignity and respect, initiative, accountability, open communication, and teamwork
  • Review company reports and share with team
  • Communicate needs to field and support teams (Dispatchers, SM's, Operations Manager, HR Manager and VP's)
  • Successfully promote company's Mission and Vision
  • Ensures that all Company policies and procedures are followed and compliance with all State and Federal Laws
  • Ensure district meets or exceeds customer and company service level requirements
  • Bottom line accountability for assigned locations
  • Support Sales Manager and the development of technicians
  • Responsible for monitoring daily, weekly operational statistics and reporting trends
  • Deliver high level of customer service on a consistent basis
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships
  • Monitor sales trends and product performance results
  • Continually enhance sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field
  • Maintain strong communication with Sales Manager, and Branch Managers.
  • Analyze the territory, develop, execute.
  • Maintain clear knowledge of all Preferred dealer programs including warranty, financing, pricing, manufacturer websites, product information, marketing funds, and utility programs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • 5 years of multi-location or large multi-department HVAC, plumbing or home services management experience
  • Strong leadership with the ability to train, guide, coach, and develop employees
  • Extremely high level of urgency to resolve problems
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Proven track record in prior role
  • Strong attention to detail with organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, while meeting deadlines and desired results
  • Ability to adapt to very fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with ability to motivate employees and obtain positive results
  • Excellent written, verbal, math and presentation abilities
  • Proven ability to drive customer satisfaction, financial performance and team building
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel
  • Drug testing, background checks and valid driver's license are conditions of employment.
