Summerville Primary Care is Hiring a Nursing Students - Immediate Opening Near Summerville, SC

Immediate Opening

We are seeking nurse students to work part-time. (can work as many hours as you like) We currently are working with 2 nurse students and would like 2 more. This is a clinical & front desk position and will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctor, staff, and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. You will ensure all medications are reconciled and prescribed, and referrals are sent correctly.
This position will act as medical assistant. You must be organized and extremely detailed with medication reconciliations.

This is a fabulous position to get you ready for the real world of nursing. You will work with and be mentored by three caring and patient providers.

Responsibilities

  • Type notes for providers
  • Interview patients and document basic medical history
  • Reconcile medications
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Update and file medical records
  • Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services
  • Assist during medical examinations
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
